Old Country Roses

My favorite china pattern! A few years ago, my mother-in-law bought this china for herself. We both always liked roses.

After a few short months, she told me I could have the china when I wanted it as she was tired of it. I knew that was not the case at all, rather she knew how I loved them and wanted to bring me happiness.

My dear mother-in-law passed away on May 1, 2009 and I just recently acquired this set from her home. This past weekend I removed everything from my china cabinet, scruffed and buffed everything and lovingly placed Old Country Roses in their new home.

I can almost feel her peering over my shoulder, telling me they look nice. Thanks Denise!

Love it! Love it! I love roses, too and that pattern is absolutely stunning. What a loving thing for your mother-in-law to bequeath onto you. They really are gorgeous, Joyce. I just love the design and colors.

These are beautiful Joyce. I remember seeing these at one time and wishing I had the same pattern. What a wonderful little tribute to your mother-in-law. Makes me feel good inside, just in time for thanksgiving!

What beautiful china and your china cabinet is beautiful as well. How special the china must be to you. It will always bring you fond memories when you use it.

I love Old Country Roses too! I have an OCR Christmas plate from 1991 that I was gonna put in a give-away on my blog but last time I had a give-away; someone who had found me by googling give-aways won it. I sent it to them but it didn't sit right w/ me, you know? Anyway, I'd much rather see it go to a reader of mine, especially someone who loves Old Country Roses in particular...you want it?

I would like to sell my set of dinnerware (Old Country roses) including glassware. Is anyone interested in purchasing it?
