Where On Earth Did It Go?

Christmas, that is! All of the preparations. All of the shopping. All of the planning, fixing, baking, all of the anticipation - where on earth did it go????? Gone in a flash!

It was a beautiful Christmas this year. I loved every minute of it and am so sorry to see it go, but it's gone and we're off to a New Year. I have a list a mile long of things I want to see, do, experience, enjoy, learn, create, read, and on and on and on. So, let's get going. Time waits for no one!!!

Happy New Year one and all!!

It's Christmas Eve!!! The day of much anticipation is almost here!! The tree is ready . . .

Stockings the kids made when they were 8 and 4 (19 and 15 currently!!) are displayed by their school pictures - not for filling, but fulfilling to mom . . .

Snowmen keeping watch over our Florida home . . .

Red and green M&M's in my Star of David candy dish, next to a little tree and wooden soldier, yep, we're multi-cultural!!

Christmas all round the house. From our home to yours . . . Merry Christmas to all. May peace and joy overflow and fill your heart with contentment!!

Precious Moments Houses

I bought these Precious Moments houses several years ago.

I haven't put them out for a few years.

I'm so glad I did this year. I love them all over again.

I need to check ebay to see if there are any others floating around. I bought these from The Hawthorne Village and I believe they are discontinued. I must check that out. I could probably fit one more on that little table by the front door.

Oh so pretty!!

Christmas Cookies

I love to bake! I can make some pretty good cookies, especially at Christmas. Today I was a busy baker. I made Oatmeal Pecan cookies with cinnamon chips.

I also made Greek cookies.

And I made Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies with walnuts.

And last, but not least, Snickerdoodles!

Tomorrow I will make Fudge Balls and then we'll package everything up to send to my mother, brother and sister up north, as well as a few neighbors I like to give something to. Rachel has two cookie exchanges at the end of this week, so we're not done yet!!

Christmas Flamingo's

I love Christmas! I think I love Christmas more this year than any other year - only because I have my act much more together this year than in years past. I have already accomplished so much and I have enjoyed every minute of it.

My little white feather tree is a flamingo tree this year. I love flamingo's, probably because they are pink. Isn't this tree adorable?

Rachel talked me into a real tree this year after the lights died last year on the artificial one we had for the past seven years. We always used the multi-colored lights because the kids liked those best. This year we will be using white lights and I am so excited to see how it looks. That will be the mission for Tuesday night. We still have baking to do, cards to send out and gifts to wrap, but it's Christmastime and the events leading up to the special day are half the fun!

Aren't those little flamingo's divine?!
