Georgia On My Mind

This is our last weekend before school starts on Monday so Rachel and I took a "little" five hour ride to Georgia for a couple of days. We went to St. Simons Island which is a beautiful place to be.

The lighthouse was very picturesque.

We captured some great sunset shots.

There were so many pretty sites to see at St. Simons Island. We plan to return tomorrow to see more. We will also be going to Jekyll Island which is suppose to be gorgeous as well. Here are some other pretty shots to leave you with.

Happy weekend one and all!!

Oh it looks so pretty there. You are so lucky you are close enough to drive there. Here in CA it is so big a state that it takes longer then that to get from where I am to San Francisco.

Hugs,
Joanne

Hello Joyce, this place is so beautiful! I have an upcoming trip to Georgia.... for as long as my parents arrive. I plan to take them there to visit my aunt.

PInk flamingoes are placed on the front lawn of a house in the neigbhorhood on a Friday night to announce a party.. all neighbors are welcome, including kids and toys. our parties are outdoors, bring your own appetizer and drinks...

if you look at one of my previous posts, i have a slide show of the phipps botanical garden that shows a lot of pink flamingoes among flowers.... they look like they are having a party of their own.

Hi Joyce
You had a nice vacation and your pictures are great and show it! I love pictures with the water....

I just found out this morning through another blog that Florida's classes start today. Ours do not (Ontario, Canada) until after labour day...New York State also. When does the year end...near the end of June?

I hope you aren't anywhere near with the hurricane watches are. Keep safe.
Have a lovely day.
