One Day At A Time

For those of you that have healthy eating habits, one day at a time probably holds little significance to you when it comes to food. But for those of us that get hit right between the eyes with a snack attack in the afternoon, oh boy, does one day at a time hold much credence!! I made it through my first work day, since on Weight Watchers, without giving in to a snack attack. Yeah me!!! I guess I must get bored or restless around 3pm because that's when I always look for something sweet to munch on. Today I went for a walk and bought the newspaper, came back to my office and ate some blackberries and was VERY proud of myself.

When I got home from work, we ate a quick dinner and then it was out the door to get Rachel to soccer practice. My sister, Lisa, came with us and we went for another nice, brisk walk around Village Park. It felt great! And now I am happy that I stuck with it and didn't give in. You know it's the little things for some that may be big things for others and it's those darn choices we make. And now I'm going to put some glitter on the birdhouse I painted last night. Wait till you see it. It's so cute!!!

Joyce- I am so proud of you for doing weight watchers plan. It is the best way to lose weight and the same way to be healthy. You will love it. It is hard at first because you feel deprived but that goes away once you see the pounds come off because you know it works. I love the desserts they really are good along with some of the dinners..I am so proud of you because this is something only you can do...

Good for you. My sister told me she was joining Weight Watchers right after her birthday--it was yesterday. She loves to eat, but says she is finally sick enough of the extra weight menopause brought that she's getting serious. I wish you both well.

I'm so very proud of you for being so commited in something you believe, such as joining weight watchers and sticking to it. It's actually alot of fun for me too, totalling your points and eating new recipes, keep it up!

Good for you, Joyce! I have friends who had a lot of success with Weight Watchers. I have to watch my snacking, too. I have to stay away from too much carbs so I keep nuts around. They somehow curb my urges.

Hi Joyce! Thanks so much for stopping by. I am so grateful for my Dear Bebe and I think you are right...I do enjoy her more probably now because of my years! LOL.

Your blog is so cheerful! Thanks again.

Joyce, a cup of fruit is only one point. It is amazing what we learn when we diet. If you are on the point system, you will note the fruits and veggies are low points. This is how we should all eat. If it comes in a box or a fast food place it isn't good for us.
Great will power! Keep up the good work.

Weight Watchers is great! I need to get back on the plan. I like it because you can find something that works for that afternoon snack, or even the after dinner little something. I can't do a rigid diet. Good luck, I'm right there with you.

My daughter and I are you and your daughter's swap partners. I'll be emailing you shortly. We're so excited! Valentines and glitter are all over the house.
