Yep, that's what it's been like in my house! I have been without a refrigerator since last Wednesday. That's right. June 30, 2010. Why, you ask? Because my beautiful GE Profile refrigerator, a mere six years old, kicked the bucket!! Incredible. Craftsmanship these days really leaves much to be desired. I had the ice maker fixed about three months ago . . . to the tune of $250.00. I refused to invest another penny. So, out with the old . . .
In with the new . . . Samsung . . . number one in customer satisfaction for the past four years in a row . . .
Not too fancy. With a life expectancy of six to nine years, this is good. Now to fill it again. Looks kinda spacious just like this . . .
It really was not much fun going through a holiday weekend living like Laura Ingalls, much as I loved that show in its day. But we survived, with a couple bags of ice. Makes you appreciate the comforts so much more. Happy 4th of July!!

You are the 3rd person I know who has purchased a new refrigerator in the last few weeks, honey. I've had my bottom freezer for 5 years now and I just LOOOOVE it. Much easier than having to bend over to see things.

Connie
Joyce, enjoy your new refrigerator! Enjoy!
Oooooo Joyce...I love that fridge! That's definitely the kind I want when mine kicks the bucket...which I hope isn't any time soon!

Yikes, I have had to have my washer and dryer replaced recently, they were only 8 years old and I had the washer repaired once! My refrigerator died but we were able to get it repaired for under $200. I like the new model you have, the freezer on the bottom looks much more practical. Well enjoy it!
You have experience living like Laura when the hurricane takes our electricity. You should be an old pro.
Hi Joyce,
You will love the two doors and the bottom freezer. I sure love mine..
Enjoy it.
Have a sweet day,
Elizabeth
Uh oh! I have a Profile also. It's about 4 years old. I hope it lasts longer than 6 years! Yikes!
I have been wondering how the concert went? I read that Jon injured a leg during a show but was a trooper and went on!
That is a fabulous refrigerator. However, I'm surprised that the refrigerator lasted only 6 years. I thought they'd last at least 15 or more!
Love your header photos. I agree, I have a dryer, two years old, two dishwashers, five years old and a beautiful Wolf stove (rated number 1, yeah right) five years old all on the fritz. I give up!! We must be lemon magnets. Stop over for my first giveaway.
Thank you for your words of comfort Joyce. I'm so sorry this is happening to your Mom too. You will be in my prayers.
I love your new frig... what a dream frig!! I hope you enjoy it for MANY years!!!
hugs, Sherry
